If you need another chance or a fresh start...
We have all made mistakes in our lives. I know I have. We have all needed a fresh start. Again, I know I have. We all have mistakes in our past. We all have areas of our present that need growth. We are all flawed, and many of us struggle against flaws each and every day that seem to control our lives from bad behavior to addiction to inner and outer struggles to just be a good person. Well if you need a fresh start or another chance, have I got some great news for you today!
We have a God of another chances. We have a God of compassion and fresh starts. We have a God of forgiveness.
How do you have the mistakes of your past forgiven? How do you have your present shaped by God? How do you have your future secured by God?
John the Baptist tells us how as he paved the way for Jesus in Mark 1:15. He said, "Repent and believe the good news."
Repent literally means to change your mind. John is telling you to be forgiven and given a fresh start, you have to change your mind about Jesus. You must turn your life toward Jesus, and then, you believe in Him.
What is the good news? The Good news is by believing that Jesus is Lord and that he died on the cross and rose again to give us victory (Romans 10:9) you will find a new life in Jesus.
Jesus wants to give you victory over your past, victory over your present, victory over your personal struggles, and even victory over death itself. Jesus wants to give you life...everlasting and abundant life (John 3:16 and John 10:10).
It is our prayer that you will turn your life toward Jesus and believe in Him as the Lord and Guide of your life.
